Education systemScholarships Some of the Universities and Colleges in the UK offer up to Pounds 2000 Scholarships to the International Students. The scholarships are based on merits and sometimes IELTS score is considered while awarding scholarship to the International Students. Some of the Universities in the UK have departmental scholarships which are awarded to the students for particular courses only. The IELTS is organized by the British Council and results take 2-3 weeks. The minimum scores usually required are 5.5 to 7.0 for IELTS and 200 to 250 (CBT) for TOEFL. Most of the Universities do not require a GMAT score for MBA programs. However, some exceptional Business schools like the London Business School and Warwick Business school do ask for a good GMAT score, in addition to IELTS or TOEFL scores and work experience of 3-5 years at a Management level, in addition to decent academic performance at the Bachelor's level.

Requirements to Study in UKEligibility Criteria The UK offers an excellent opportunity to nearly half-a-million international students who come from around the world. Depending on the type of course you choose and age, you may have to apply for a Short-term study visa, Child student visa (Tier 4) or General student visa (Tier 4). AccommodationAll the international students studying Undergraduate / Post Graduate courses are normally guaranteed accommodation for the first year in University / College halls of residence. The charges would vary from 60 pounds per week to 130 pounds per week, depending on the University / College in the UK. The Universities / Colleges have their own deadlines for accommodation booking which students must meet if they require the accommodation to be arranged by them.
